On Friday, 6 June 2025 the Belleville Centre will have Professor John Moores, of York University talking with us about his recent book, "Daydreaming in the Solar System". He describes his book at:
“Daydreaming in the Solar System” (https://mitpress.mit.edu/9780262049290/daydreaming-in-the-solar-system/) uses science and story to imagine what it might be like, from a human perspective, to experience fifteen different locations in the solar system as if you were at a National Park. We base our walkthroughs on the science retrieved from robotic probes over the past 62 years. Each chapter gives both perspectives – we start with a story and then present the science aided by 26 illustrations and 16 colour plates.
