The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Kingston Astronomy Club aka The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Kingston Centre, is Wednesday April 17th  2024 at 7pm Eastern Time (UTC-4)

This meeting is being held in person ONLY.

Meetings are held at Queens University Ellis Hall Room 226 

Parking is free after 5 p.m. on Queens campus surface lots, including the Mackintosh-Corry Parking Lot nearby (access from Union Street near Frontenac St).

Science Rendezvous Kingston 2024

For the 14th year, Science Rendezvous Kingston will take over the Slush Puppy (formerly) Leon’s Centre and The Tragically Hip Way in Kingston Ontario. Join us Saturday, 2024 May 11, from 10 am - 3 pm as we turn them into the largest pop-up science Discovery Centre in Canada!

Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Science Fair 2024!

The 2024 FLASF Science Fair will be held on March 28-April01 at Queen's Faculty of Education (Duncan McArthur Hall), Kingston Ontario. The Kingston Astronomy Club is offering the Leo Enright Award for the best project in Astronomy. 

The awardee will receive $150 and an Explore the Universe Guide/Beginner’s Observing Guide (depending on availability). For starter ideas please check out the poster.

Queen's University Observatory Open House

Join us for an Observatory Open House on Saturday March 9th at 7:30PM!

This month's featured speaker is  TBA.


The presentation will be followed by a tour of our facilities, including the McDonald Institute Visitor Centre and viewing nearby and deep-sky celestial objects with our telescopes (weather permitting).

We hope to see you there!

This is event is free for all ages! 

Ellis Hall Auditorium, Queen's Campus.  Parking available on the MacIntosh Corry Parking lot off Union and Albert Sts.

Join us for an Observatory Open House on Saturday February 10th at 7:30PM!

This month's featured speaker is Malcolm Park, President of the Royal Astronomical Society-Kingston Centre, who will explore chasing eclipses.
The presentation will be followed by a tour of our facilities, including the McDonald Institute Visitor Centre and viewing nearby and deep-sky celestial objects with our telescopes (weather permitting).
