Queens Observatory Open House

Event Date

Our next Open House will take place on Saturday Feb 8th at 7:00pm in Ellis Hall Auditorium at Queen's University.

This month we are looking forward to feature Timothy Hapitas, who is a graduate student at Queen's University. He will present 'Mapping the Milky Way Galaxy.'

We are also very excited to showcase the 2025 planetary alignment  which will be visible on Feb 8th (weather permitting)!

Timothy's presentation will be followed by a tour of the Queen’s Observatory where visitors will have the chance to view the planets and/or other celestial objects with our telescopes! The tour will also include a visit to the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute.

We hope to see you there.

The Open House presentations are hybrid events that can also be joined virtually over zoom: https://queensu.zoom.us/j/92254657437?pwd=WqwYIrvgWxx9ezNhOABF9quNWFdjao.1
