The Regular Meeting of the Kingston Astronomy Club aka The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Kingston Centre, is Wednesday 2023 October 11 at 7pm Eastern Time (UTC-4)

INPERSON:  Meetings are held in Queens University Ellis Hall Room 226 (confirmed)

ONLINE : You are invited to a Zoom meeting.  When: Oct 11, 2023 07:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. 


Parking is free after 5 p.m. on Queens campus surface lots, including the Mackintosh-Corry Parking Lot nearby (access from Union Street near Frontenac St).

Ellis Hall contains the Queen's University Observatory, is north of Jeffrey Hall (Math) and south of Richardson Hall (Admin) on University Avenue.

This month's meeting (7-9pm) agenda includes:

Andrew Godefroy, Shelley & Stefan Jackson, along with Rick Wagner’s What’s up in the Sky and Member’s Observing Reports.

Shelley's talk.  Journey to the Dark Side: From Faint Fuzzies to Fabulous Fotos

Stefan's Talk:  Building a Roll off Roof Observatory: for non builders.

This meeting will be hybrid in nature, inperson and also live zoom videoconference.  A recording will be made and posted to youtube com a few days later.

Solar viewers will be made available to members at the meeting.
